Michael Barrett was actually running late for his appointments but was very apologetic for the delay. He confirmed who he was and who I was and before examining my injury discussed it with me and made sure I knew exactly what had happened and what will happen. The examination was quick and exact - it didn't need to be any longer as he knew exactly what he was looking for and checking. He was fully prepared to discuss the injury and explained what the next steps were going to be. He answered any questions I had. I have no problems with the service and care this doctor gave.

Mr Barrett is clear and concise when explaining. This is extremely important at this time. Attending appointments on your makes you more anxious and keen to understand. He was happy to explain, ensure I understood so I knew what had happened and a clear path to recovery.
Mr Barrett also answered questions I had in between appointments via his very lovely secretary Helen. An answer was relayed to me within 24 hours. Thank you to all who have helped.

Mr Barrett is a Consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon working at Addenbrookes, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundations Trust. Mikes interests are in major trauma, complex lower limb trauma, and foot and ankle surgery.
Mike undertook his orthopaedic surgical training across the East of England. He completed a specialist foot and ankle fellowship at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. He also gained extensive experience managing patients with complex trauma at the Royal London Hospital.
